Microsoft has self-identified an issue wherein internal emails are sometimes inadvertently routed to the user's junk mail folder. Some of you have reported this with emails from Help Desk. As a best practice, please be sure to check your Junk folder before reporting this to IT. Additionally, you can reference the following steps to take to prevent this from happening in the future.
In Outlook, browse to your Junk Email folder
Right-click on the email within the Junk Mail folder.
- Click “Junk”
- Click “Not Junk”
Make sure the “Always Trust Email From” box Is checked and click “OK”. This will push the email to your inbox and keep future emails from the selected sender from going there. So take some time and look at your junk mail folder. You could be missing an email that is hiding there!!
